Tell us about yourself: Hi! I’m Hannah! I am a soon-to-be freshman in college at Bethany
Lutheran. I am an only child, I have grown up and lived in Sherburn my entire life, and I have been doing CrossFit for almost 3 years!!
Why did you start CrossFit training? I wanted to start CrossFit because my mom was doing it. I saw all of the grueling workouts and relationships built from the outside and I really wanted to give it a go, I wanted to see what I was capable of!!
What is your proudest or best CrossFit memory? My proudest CrossFit memory is hard to pinpoint because there have been so many times that I’ve been proud of myself! If I had to pick a single one, I would pick deadlifting 205 on the deadlift ladder workout during the Festivus Games! There are countless others!!
What advice would you give to beginners? Stop in!! Everyone here just wants to get fit, there’s no judging!! And always believe in yourself. It sounds so simple but it really does make a difference!!
How has CrossFit both helped you inside and outside they gym? CrossFit has changed my life in so many ways. Starting as an awkward 15 year old girl who just wanted to be skinny to looking at myself now and seeing that I’m strong makes me so proud. I have made so many relationships through CrossFit that I know will last a lifetime!!
How is CrossFit different from other exercise programs you have tried? CrossFit teaches you to do many different movements at a fast pace while also teaching you to do them RIGHT. Being in high school I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked in a weight room and seen horrible technique!! I love that I am constantly challenged and there is no need to worry about getting bored of the routine because it’s different every day!!
If you could create a WOD, what would it contain? I would create a WOD with Power Cleans, wall balls and handstand push-ups!
Anything else you would like to add? I’m going to miss my CrossFit family so much!!!
